Down To Earth Bone Meal with an N-P-K of 3-15-0 is an excellent source for the phosphorous that helps promote strong root development, which enhances early season growth, and increase flowering on all of your plants. It is particularly good to use when planting bulbs, flowering annuals, perennials and ornamentals. Not only does this product supply phosphorous, but it contains 18% calcium to help reduce plant health issues like blossom end rot and bitter pit in apple trees.
INTRUCTIONS:
| Bulbs | Add 1 tablespoon per hole for average size bulbs, more for larger varieties. |
| Vegetable Gardens & Flower Beds | Preparing New Gardens: Apply 3-6 lbs per 100 square feet and thoroughly mix into the top 3" of soil. |
| New Transplants: Add 1-2 tablespoons per hole. Mix into the soil and water in well. | |
| Established Plants: Side dress 2-4 oz depending on plant size and desired growth rate. Apply one each month during the growing season to promote fruiting and flowering. | |
| Containers | New Plantings: Add 1-2 tablespoons per gallon of soil and mix thoroughly or add 5-10 lbs per cubic yard. |
| Established Plants: Lightly mix 1-2 tablespoons per gallon into the soil surface once each month during the growing season. | |
| Trees & Shrubs | Established Trees/Shrubs: Spread 1 lb per 2" of trunk diameter around the base outwards to the drip line. Mix into soil surface and water in well. |
| New Plantings: Prepare transplant hole and mix 1-2 cups with the backfill soil. Use amended soil to fill in around the new tree and water in well. |
